Farm Business Planner Version 5

Alan Blackburn and Associates Consulting has developed its own in-house software over the past five years and we are proud of its capacity to model a farm business and evaluate the options and scenarios that farmers typically face.  The software is provided to clients and course participants for their own personal use.

The software is powerful, yet easy to use. It enables you to develop plans and budgets based on your current system and for alternative systems you may be considering.

The software enables farmers to plan their farm business based on how individual paddocks are used, including how water is allocated on irrigation farms.  We have been using the software with clients, who can retain it for their ongoing personal use.

We are now making it available to farmers who attend the two day (Farm Ready approved) training course; "Achieving Success in Farming in a Risky World”.

The software is not available for sale.  It is provided exclusively to our clients and to course participants.  You will need Microsoft Office (Excel) 2003 onwards to operate the software.

The software was designed by Alan Blackburn and developed with a professional software developer.  Copyright owned by Alan Blackburn.

What farmers say:

“The computer program “Farm Business Planner” is a great tool for analysing our current situation as well as opportunities we are considering. It has enabled us to create a very detailed plan, and we now have the ability to easily replan as situations change. The plans generated provide a good reference, especially when talking with financial institutions.”

Colin & Kath Mirtschin, Purdeet

“Our family business has undertaken a review with Alan Blackburn & Associates Consulting using their in-house software “Farm Business Planner”. We found the review most beneficial and the software allows us the flexibility to alter information as circumstances change, without spending days to determine an outcome.”

Michael Greene, Elmhurst
