How does this software help?

For a farm business to succeed it needs a plan – a plan which provides targets, milestones and projections of future earning.  A plan which provides the detailed price and production assumptions on which it is based.  A plan that can be provided to lenders to support a loan application.

We designed the “Farm Business Planner” software to enable us to work with clients and efficiently and effectively prepare a business plan which can stay on the client’s computer and be altered in the future if need be.

The software is powerful and easy to use.  It starts by listing all the paddocks on the farm and the planned use for each paddock.  From this base a detailed farm business plan is developed. The software is broken into six modules.

Relevant information used in module 1 is automatically supplied in module 3, to make the job easier and faster.

MODULE 4              Strategic Drought Planning

Using some information already gathered in module 1, clients can quickly calculate the size of drought reserves they need to feed stock for droughts of 1 month to 12 months duration.

MODULE 5              Farm Risk Management

This module enables clients to speedily carry out a comprehensive review of their risk management strategies and tactics.

We also have computer models of livestock and crop gross margins which we use to calculate projected gross margins for clients.

How do I obtain this software?

Modules used when clients engage us to assist with farm business planning are supplied free to clients. They can then make subsequent changes to their business plans as circumstances change.  The software runs on Excel.
