The program provides assistance to:
- Undertake professional advice and adjustment training of up to $5,500
- Undertake a farm business analysis and financial assessment
To qualify:
- Centrelink undertakes an initial Income and Assets test to confirm eligibility
- If eligible, farmers receive a voucher to undertake Farm Business Analysis and Financial Assessment with a prescribed advisor
- To be eligible, a farmer must have net assets of less than $1.5 million (excluding superannuation) and also meet

How to Apply:
- I suggest you first approach a Rural Financial Counsellor who will help decide if you qualify and will work with you on "Business analysis and financial assessment". This assessment will be used to see if you qualify.
- If the answer is YES, then arrange with the financial counsellor for Alan Blackburn to provide the additional advice and training
- I suggest you phone me to discuss your situation early in this process so that you know what we can (and perhaps cannot) do together.
- You will be provided with a voucher to pay the advisor.
- The grants are for $5,500
- Note that the Adjustment Advice and Training Grants differ from the Professional Advice and Planning Grants that were available to farmers in EC declared areas
